I was shocked!

I know a lot of people will think me old fashioned but I read a lot of books usually about three a week and I mainly read romance novels. I recently puchased a book call Petal by Graeme Morgan I thought it was a love story but I was shocked at this life story especially considering that it all happened in the U.K. As shocked as I was/still am I thoroughly enjoyed the book but it does leave you wondering/worrying about some of the things that do go on in the U.K.
I bought petal from Tesco,s I was a bit put out after I found out that it was less than half price from the petal site www.petal.me.uk and even cheaper from Amazon.co.uk but it is a very strange story.

Your shock and surprise is justified. Anyway, these things do happen, maybe as we humans have created civil/criminal laws and rules that mold our thinking.

Do these not happen in animals? However, they had the courage to speak out what they went through, that is heroic on their part. All of us have some dark secrets, but how many of us have the courage to speak out?

That's the wonderful thing about books if you ask me. They can entertain you as easily as they can shock you or move you to tears.
