Double Image: When you place your finger between computer screen and your eyes while focusing on the screen (not on finger) you see double finger! This is because the brain takes two images seen by your two eyes and combines into one picture. Since you are not focusing on the finger at that time (you are focusing on the screen) the brain does not combine the two images of the finger and you see two displaced images. You will also see that when you close one eye and then the other (keeping one eye open) the finger image shifts. This is called parallax. Modern cameras can adjust to this parallax for a single focus so necessary for flawless pictures.
