Tips to save on your taxes
Everyone reads about the latest tax saving tips just prior to filing their returns. At this point however, it is often too late to do much about your pending tax bill.
Perhaps you can save the bite from taxes starting from the beginning/middle of the year, that way, you really can save a lot on it. Here are some tips:
Keep all business-related receipts in a safe place, don't lose them
Claim your bills carefully, look at other things that can be claimed, don't miss anything, it's quite a fortune there if you really look carefully
Although the returns are not very high, do consider tax-free investments. Consider tax-free government or municipal bonds, among other such investments. They're good for a high-income individuals.
Donate some money away. It's not the best way to avoid tax, but it's got other advantages too in the long run. Make sure you have receipts for it.
Put your children on the payroll (above 14) and have them do some work for you. Shift some of your income that would be taxed at a higher rate to their lower tax bracket.
And lastly..........
DOUBLE_CHECK EVERYTHING
Errors can account for a lot of money tha you could have saved every year.
