Education in US and Canada

If you are an International student seeking admission for graduate and undergraduate courses in USA and Canada, you have to opt for GRE, GMAT, SAT and TOEFL exams. They are treated as entrance assessment for college admissions.

However, there are various factors like financial aid and prior experience (in GMAT) for acquiring admissions in International colleges. These exams can surely be considered as the primary step headed for a bright future.

Application procedure consists of various aspects. Generally, admission officers look for High School grades, SAT & TOEFL scores, college essays, extracurricular activities (if any), Recommendation letters, answers of application questions, etc.

Finally, before preparing for the final interview, you should have a brief acquaintance of the college applying for.

Just to add in a bit,
if you're from another country,
it'll be good to thoroughly survey the universities you're applying for instead of making judgements based on friends' opinions and such, know the environment, the surrounding are, the accomodation and such, don't get into one only to find that it's not really suitable for you, many friends have complained that before, if you could afford it, take a trip and visit the potential universities, see the people, the surroundings and environments, make your judgements accordingly

hope this helps
