Dogs are the way to go

Everyone needs a pet at some stage in their life. A dog is always a good option. They live long enough to grow up along with your kids, there are numerous activites you can do together (running, swimming, playing ball etc) and they really know how to make you smile.

Cats are good too, but they aren't as friendly as dogs. They are good when they are kittens but as they grow older, they just seem to want to be left alone unless its dinner time.

What other 'not so domesticated' pets do you all have? Like mice, rabbits, guinea pigs etc?

Lately I've been seeing that rabbits and hamsters are really common pets. A few guys here and there get a snake. Although I wouldn't really want a snake in my house. Some girls like to get horses to ride, but they could never be kept inside the house, so you would have to have a stable to keep them in .

I love dogs. They are awesome. Dogs give so much love and fun to their owners. I don't think cats can do this at all and I really don't understand why people do have cats. With dogs you get out because they have to get their walks, you play with them and they cuddle up to you on the sofa. I like bigger dogs more though then the small ones.

I totally agree with you richie!

They may be quite expensive to keep due to all the food and vet bills they rack up, but they are very much worth it.

I think everyone should have a dog at some point in their life. I think the best times would have to be when you are young so you can be active with it, or when you are old and you can have a quiet companion.

Re: Pet animals

I whole heartedly agree with you rowenahere. The dogs are more friendly than the cats and they respect the master's command very quickly without any delay. But the cat will be faithful only to some extent and they aren't so affectionate like the dogs. But the cat looks good better than the dogs.
