The head of the Sicilian mafia has been arrested after more than four decades on the run. Police tracked down Bernardo Provenzano at a farmhouse near his Sicilian home town of Corleone, made famous by 'The Godfather' films. He was known as the 'Phantom of Corleone' for his ability to evade capture, something anti-mafia investigators say could only have happened with the help of police and politicians.
Palermo's assistant prosecutor, Guiseppe Pignatone, said they had noticed a series of packages and messages being taken from his house in Palermo to the countryside. He added that Provenzano had become isolated by police activitiesover the years so he had been hiding out in a place where he felt safe.
The last picture police had of him was taken nearly 50 years ago; since then they have used computer-simulated images. The 73-year-old fugitive had been sentenced in absentia to life in jail in connection with several crimes, including the 1992 murders of two top anti-mafia magistrates. As a young man he was known as "the tractor" because of the way he "mowed" down his enemies when he was moving up through the Corleone clan.

What's your say, getting caught for something you did like sooo many years ago, it really gets back to you doesn't it, do you believe in karma?

I don't know, I do sometimes believe in Karma, but I mean come on. The police have actually been looking for this guy for 43 years. I don't know what crime(s) he commited but they shouldn't punish him for it now. Still, he was free for 43 years so he's probably going to pass away soon anyways.

Yeah, if you cant do the time, don't do the crime!
But its only fair. Be it 100 hudred years over, he still deserve to be punish. For the life he took and the misery he caused. And i do believe in karma. I believe good things will be repay with good things and bad will be repay also only worst.

Did you ever hear the expression,"God doesn't like ugly."? It goes with sayings like, "spit in the wind and it will hit you in the face", & "what goes around comes around. I believe in cosmic justice. You treat people bad and you'll get yours. It doesn't always happen right away, but it happens.
