I do not think any good company's motive in installing GPS/Blackberry System will to keep an eye on employee movements. That will be extremely demoralizing for the employees. The real objective is to further improve customer service. Once the movements of the field personal become available on a real time basis via the GPS and the computer system, it becomes lot easier for the field/marketing/sales managers to attend any call quicker than before. This scheduling can even be handled automatically when GPS concatenates with the GIS Technology.
