Gears of War?

I must say last E3 I was so happy to see Gears of War. I mean with the whole run and gun and taking a friggin shotgun and throwing it over your shoulder while you are running forward and shooting someone behind you. Why hasn't anyone thought of that genius before? Anyhow has anyone heard of a release date on Gears of War for the 360?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone played this game yet? Everyone is raving about it but I am yet to play it. Since I have got modded I have had too many games on my XBOX, and I don't play half of them. I suppose I will get gears of war later. But I want to hear what you guys think about it first. Its supposed to be like the next "halo" for xbox. Anyone have any feedback about this game?

My friend just got the game and it is GREAT! It only lasts about 8 hours but co-op is where it's all at. More later.

The ratings of the game are pretty good, and the hype about the game before it came out was even greater. I haven't had the time to play the game yet but I plan on doing so in the next few days. So, what do you think? Is it better than Halo? Most people say that this game is destined to be the next Halo for XBOX.

I actually enjoy this more than Halo and you have to be playing on an HDTV to enjoy the full capacity of this game but yeah, there are so many cool things to do. The chainsaw, the hiding behind cover and shooting things, and the multiplayer is just fantastic.

Hmm, interesting. Does the game have multi player? I never even heard of this game until the day before it came out. And then people were going crazy about the game because it was destined to be the new halo. I can't wait till halo 3. It'll be interesting to see Gears of Wars and Halo battle for the top XBOX title.

Well, its not really on the XBOX, it's on the XBOX 360. I'm guessing that's what you meant. The game is supposed to be really good. But besides the XBOX, it is also on the PC. So far the outlook is pretty good and sales for Gears of War haven't been too bad either.
