What sort of applications will you be using?

If you will be playing 3D games or using any 3D applications like CAD, you want a system with a dedicated GPU (graphics processing unit) as opposed to an integrated graphics processor (IGP). If you will not be running 3D applications or games, then a notebook with integrated graphics will save you money and have better battery life.

Basically there is a deivide between the gaming laptops and the laptops that run applications . gaming laptops are the ones that will come with additional support for ofcourse graphics like the graphic card and all , also the processor and ram got to be well also because the gaming requirements .
But i think also that if you run high end applications like the oracle or the .net developer studio you need equally well processor and ram .
