When I was in LA, while walking around a mall, I saw a dude mending a scientologist cart selling books and tapes about scientology... So, being a 'knowledge seeker' myself, I bought one of the books and read it on the plane.
It was quite a good read actually, talking about how our brains or mind work, although I personally think there is not much fact about what is written.
Scientologist believe in a higher being, but not God like the Christian god. It's a higher force more like, not a moral being I think.
In fact, I even visited the Scientologist Church in LA. Quite an interesting experience I had with my pal. I think everyone should at least try to learn a bit about everything before judging it. I saw a post here from summie, apparently the Christian fanatic, who claims the creator of scientology is satan. What a weird notion from someone who knows nothing about scientology.
Personally I don' think scientologist had a bloody past as Christians do.
