Vista trans pack
If you know the slightest about the new Operating System Vista, maybe tried it a few times; then you know that one of the best things it's got going for it is the look. Granted, that new look and animated features it brings takes an above par system to get the full effect. Aside from the performance portion such as security flaws expeted and existing and of course the buzz on DRM revolving around new OS's from Microsoft, the look is kind of catchy.
Windows X and his crew have come close to the end on finalizing Vista Transformation Pack 6. What is VTP 6? In short, it's an application developed that mimics the look, features, sounds, and more from the Vista OS. It's taking the design portion and plugging it into your current 2000 or XP setup.
I just found out that RC2 (not released) will not be released. Why? Well Windows X and the crew made significant progress and are more than likely going to complete the project (Version 6) by Christmas. So with a final version instead of a release candidate being expected, RC1 will be in use until then.
Some of the main changes in the RC2 version moving right along to the final include:
-Completed setup integration (no more experimental, work fine and has Vista setup screen option working)
-System applications transformation (Task manager, volume control, photo printing wizard, Media Center, etc.)
-System dialogs mods (file transfering like previous post, open/save dialog, etc.)
-Re-arranged transformation process dialog
-Display configuration for best UI adjustment
-Bug fixes found in RC1 release
Right now I’m proceeding the final stage, extra stuff implementation like 3rd-party applications, visual styles, etc. You can expect for the final release on Christmas for sure, says Windows X.
Remember, if you are currently using RC1, when the next version is dropped it suports updating so there is no need to uninstall, restore everything, and/or start over. Why use this pack? If you've used or seen Vista and like the look or are just curious, just give this package a try. It's Vista without all the Malware and other issues surrounding it in it's early stages and more than likely time to come.
