New google earth

A new version of Google Earth was released a few days ago, but Google decided to introduce a new program that will help bring more popularity to the application.

Google presented a new interactive contest to allow you to find Santa using images captured by Google Earth directly from the satellite services.

“Hello boys and girls. Ready to find some toys? Santa has hidden a treasure trove of presents somewhere in Google Earth (actually, it was a few of his elves, but you get the idea). Every day from December 12th until Christmas Eve, a clue will appear outside Santa's North Pole workshop which, if
you can solve it, will lead you to a toy hidden in a Google Earth satellite image.

And every day, the location of the previous day's toy will be revealed. On December 24th, Santa will load his sleigh, take the reins and soar into the skies, delivering presents to good children all over the world. And now you can follow his fabled flight.” Google said.

Do you want to participate in the contest? First, you must download Google Earth and Santa Tracker and Toy Hunt, both available here, and install them. Then, you must click on the present icon to find today’s clue. After you’ll type your guess in the box, you’ll be redirected to the city that helps you find your toy. Next day, same operations, different toy.

So, it seems like Google helps us find Santa on the world map so don’t be too amazed if you can see new exciting elements added to the program provided by the search giant. It’s quite attracting because Google decides to launch new attracting solutions every day. Don’t you just love it?
