Be up front about taking a time off

I used to be afraid to tell my new boss I had a vacation planned that would take place within the first six months of my job. I started letting potential employers know in the interview, "as a courtesy," and they really responded well. They were impressed that I would be so considerate of their planning, and it never affected my ability to get the job. Better yet, my vacation time was guaranteed!

yes , being open and clear helps , because see your boss can alos need a vacation at many times . This is something that is unavoidable , so say is straightaway and wait for the answer , be honest in citiing the reason etc . If you try to get more soild reasons and actually something else in on your mind that may not help , becasue you see there are many employees wanting holidays many times and the boss knows what kinds of reasonsare always put up .
