The difference between newsletters and ezines

I recently bought an eBook about marketing your website and generating traffic, and the book recommended sending a newsletter to subscribers. This sounds really daunting to me. Do I have to do all of the writing myself? Also, what's the difference between a newsletter and an ezine?

I think people generally think of a newsletter as something is sent out and an ezine as something that people visit like a web site. It's the difference between push and pull advertising.

When you're ready to start, you'll probably need to find a delivery service for your e-newsletter. They simplify the signup/opt-out process. Also, be sure you are familiar with the laws related to bulk email - you can get into a lot of costly trouble if you're not.
