How saints are made?

Saints are not elected like our presidents or even appointed by our government. Saints are ordinary people who live their simple Christian life for God and for their neighbors. However, this takes a long process.

After one dies, people who witnessed his/her heroic Christian life should write to the Pope and the Vatican office to take the “saint” life noted. These witnesses should reveal the life of that person. In short, the life of that “saint in the making” will be investigated.

If the Church authorities get satisfied with the proof of the person’s holiness, they will recommend to the Pope. The Pope will be the one to decide if he/she will be declared Venerable. Eventually, after many years and miracles, the Pope may beatify that person and shall be called Blessed. Few more years and miracles, the Pope will canonize him and declare him as a saint.

That may be how and what the Roman Catholic Church believe and practice, but according to the Bible one does not need to die or have someone in a religous office to declare someone a saint. A person is a saint as long as they have the spirit of God in them.

Acts 9:13 (KJV)
Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

Acts 9:32 (KJV)
And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.

Acts 26:10 (KJV)
Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

Romans 1:7 (KJV)
To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

saints:hagios, hag'-ee-os; from hagos (an awful thing) [compare Greek 53 (hagnos), Hebrew 2282 (chag)]; sacred (physical pure, moral blameless or religious, ceremony consecrated) :- (most) holy (one, thing), saint.

Angels are not saints; angels are created being that are servants of God, sent forth to minister to those who will inherit salvation.

Hebrews 1:14 (KJV)
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Angel were created to serve man and God. The world to come will not be insubjection to angels
Hebrews 2:5-13 (KJV)
For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. [6] But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? [7] Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: [8] Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. [9] But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. [10] For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. [11] For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, [12] Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. [13] And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

The world that we live in is subject to angels, specificaly the fallen ones known as demons. God did not in the beginning made the earth to be in subjection ot Satan, but man, Adam and Eve handed it over to Satan after God gave it to them.

Genesis 1:26-28 (KJV)
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. [27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. [28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Humanity's first parents, Adam and Eve sold there right to rule over the earth to Satan.

Genesis 3:1-7 (KJV)
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
[2] And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: [3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. [4] And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: [5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. [6] And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. [7] And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Satan is the God of this world.

2 Cor. 4:4 (KJV)
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The earth is his and he rules over the kingdoms of this world.

Luke 4:5-7 (KJV)
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. [6] And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. [7] If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

Notice that Satan said that it was delivered to him; man, Adam delivered the right to rule over the earth to Satan. Man still does rule the earth, however, man is now a subject of Satan that is ruling over man. God plan is to have man rule not just over the earth, but also over all creation. Man will one day be supreme ruler over God's creation, second only to God himself.

Rev. 21:7 (KJV)
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Rev. 5:10 (KJV)
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Isaiah 9:7 (KJV)
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Notice that the kingdom of God, that He will give to man will not only have no end, but also it will never stop increasing. The kingdom of God will start precisely on the earth in Jerusalem and expand outwards to cover the entire earth, and beyond.

Saints

As I know and have red, (wo)man became a saint by his(hers) life. God is the one who recognise and judge who will and who wont be a saint. That is all you need to know.
Saints are like angels, but hey are not angels. They lead their life like they are already doomed to go to hell, so they need to became much better then they are. Their living, doing and constant love toward God and people makes them saints.
Sometime, even during their life they are sanctificed by God. They perform (I hate this word, but sadly I don't know any other) miracles, or maybe better to say, God give them power to perform miracles in His name.
Some of them are marters, because they died for their beliefs.
Littlenicky, I hope you understand what I wanted to say. English is not my native language, so please if thee is any question you want to ask please, don't hesitate.
