Carpal tunnel syndrome: chatters’ enemy
It is just like the saying that anything too much is bad! Well, if you spent too much time using a computer, it can result in the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS).
CTS got its name from the 8 bones in the wrist, called carpals, that form a tunnel-like structure. The tunnel is filled with flexor tendons that control finger movement. It also provides a pathway for the median nerve to reach sensory cell in the hand. Repetitive flexing and extension of the wrist may cause thickening of the protective sheaths that surround each of the tendons. The swollen tendon sheaths or tensynovitis apply increased pressure on the median nerve and produced CTS.
The possibility of suffering from CTS also depends on your hands!
