Where do all the game cheats come from?

This is like one of the biggest mysteries of my life. i am never able to understand how guys who submit cheat really find out about them. I mean just look at the cheats of the Grand theft auto games Each one of them contains a combination of atleast 10 buttons. A single PS2 remote has a total of 10 buttons excluding the left & right analog and the D-pad. :shock: What do these guys do that helps them find out exactly which buttons to press to discover a new cheat. I mean if they use the Trial-&-error method then it must take an awfully long time. On top of that it must be a really gruelling task to make different combinations of buttons to find a cheats. I guess you never know whether you will discover a cheat in 1 minute or 1 year...RIGHT? :?:

hmmm, i think they're game programmers themselves, or they just copy from another source,

games publishers themselves provide cheat codes anyway, it's not that difficult to copy n paste them as your own cheats hehehe
