Will any asian team ever win the world cup?
When Sepp Blatter came to Asia he said that Indians & Indonesians held the flair capable of winning the world cup, but little did he know that the teams he was talking about were not even in the ranks of the top 100 teams of the world. The closest any Asian team has come of winning has been South Korea with a Semi-final spot in the 2002 world cup, but that was in our own backyard. I hardly remember any Asian team having made it to the top 10 in the recent years. Although we can still bind our hopes with countries like Saudi Arabia, Japan, Iran & South Korea to make a name globally, I don't think that the world cup will ever come to Asia unless Zidanes & Ronaldinhos are born here simply because we don't love the beautiful game enough.
