Mother Instincts

Against my own instincts, I agreed to induce labor because my OB told me our son would be too big for my pelvic bones. I knew he would be fine, but because I wanted to do everything I could to keep him safe, I went along with it. It was a disaster - my son is fine, but it was sheer hell. Anyone else follow Dr.'s orders against their better judgement?

talk to your baby

hello.. i was a first time mother also...i had a difficulty in giving birth...not because i had a small pelvic bone..but because i had a traditional OB doctor..she let me to undergo natural labor..i was in the labor room for almost 11hours....i was asking for induced labor because it was too painful on my part....so i talk to my baby...and i say to my baby please come out...your father is waiting for us and mommy is having a hard time already....and after 10 minutes... i was 10cm dilated and my water bulb was already broken...and with one hard push my baby came out...

i think talking to my baby brought a big help why she came out very healthy..

Hei Riakawaii
Congratulations on being such a great mum,

I don't think there's a problem being a successful mum with not much of real success on your career. I respect those women who wor hard climbing the corporate ladder, but probably because of the way I was brought up, I tend to agree that women, despite all their success in their careers, once they hit the mum stage, should concentrate more on being a good mum.

Leave the career and money thing to the men, women should focus more on building a great family. This statement of course does not reflect to every woman out there, but a majority of them I'd say, should be comfortable with this. Right ladies?
