Professional career advice

Work at McDs!
Nah I'm just kidding, not that I have anything against it,
But if you work there, perhaps one day I'll bump into you while ordering my favorite meal

Anyway, should you need any career advice in the computer (IT) industry, feel free to ask me, been there, done that! Know what I mean?

Few years ago, I'm in the IT field, the field which was in huge demand. Now, there are so many new professionals out there, as skilled as I am, but younger and cheaper. I'm having a very hard time finding new jobs with the same or higher salary. I'm still in the IT field coz that's what I do best, been thinking about doing my own business too, been thinking about changing industries too, what should I do now?

Well RBX the best way to get into the IT industry is by doing an industry recognized computer course such as from NIIT etc. They have centres all over and dont impose restrictions on what your back ground of graduation is. But before you do put in any money you could ask your brother to read up a little about programming and maybe download osme easy tutorials on C OR C plus plus.

If he find these intresting only then whould he go into the field. Becuase sometimes people go through it and then realize that they cant stand to do programming or that they dont seem to understand it at all..But it think that the best things to invest in are programming skills and english speaking skills.

Well said!

That's so true, do enough research before investing into it, make you're you're at least very interested if not passionate about it. That goes for many other things in life as well, not just the IT industry.

Like I come from a graphic design field, but most of my classmates have already switched to something totally not related, starting from ground up. That's one of the luxuries only young people with no commitments can do you know. Coz switching like this ain't gonna get you a good pay, not in the beginning at least. As for me, heheheh I've switched too, but to writing instead of graphic design, different industry but still, as a whole, they're both in the creative industry, so at least I didn't switch too much lol

Tell me something more of the things that you have done . I do have a lot of questions on my mind . All are realted to the job scenario and the environment we get inside companies such as Infosys etc.
Do you think freelancing and a regular job in any company . which one is better option in terms of money and time , and i dont need to be famous ?
What effects are of the people in the higher nmanagement that know lesser than us and still dont treat the lower management or the recently joined freshers properly ?
How to cross this fresher phaze ?
