Does one have to promote himself/herself?

Some people would have amazing brand, yet if no one knows about it, they are not going to have much success with their career development. Nobody could you expect to do the promotion for you! Are you going to hire some advertisers in order to promote you? What a ridiculous thing to do! Nobody has more reasons to promote yourself except you.
In promoting oneself, you need to throw modesty out the window. You need to learn the fine line between bragging and promoting. In what way could you best promote yourself? Yes, through the resume you can list all your key accomplishments, skills, education, positioning statement (qualifications summary), etc.

There are two ways to it one is that if you are in a stagnant job and/or in a job scenario were he/she intends to sataythere , then it like a secure job and doesnot really need to be promoted as he is getting paid and will be paid in future .
But if you are aiming high and want to expolre new horizons and yoou are like going to ther places places for jobs whech can even include moving out of the country then a little exposure is good enough .
