Working from home as a career move

The advice I would have to give anyone is start researching what it is that you are going to do. The internet is a great tool to do so. If you can't find specifics on what you are trying to start then ask a friend for some help that you know has been successful. The best knowledge is often of the person that has succeeded in doing whichever venture you would be wanting to start. Take for example buying and selling on e-bay. There are many people in fact millions of people that are on there everyday. Some of those people actually run their own e-bay store and through the wonders of Social engineering you can buddy up to some of them and once they feel confident in speaking with you that would be like a mountain of information there for the taking. Also, going to library's to help in your searching. Librarians here people searching for everything and anything and might actually know what it is you are looking for and how to help you.

Anyhow research and then START SLOW! If you have to pick up a part time job on the side so you can assure yourself some sort of income before you start bulldozing into the home based business. Many people try and just go full bore into a home based business but do not think of the consequences. You just can't think nothing but $$$$$$$$ and get rich quick. See if it were easy EVERYONE WOULD BE DOING IT!

If there are other research ideas let me know cause I always love looking for new things. Hope my advice has helped in some way.

Have a wonderful day and happy hunting.

I guess he's tried a home based internet business and it wasn't profitable. But I think cloud9925 is right you should totally do research before starting your business so that you know what's selling.

Another suggestion is to just cruise Ebay and see what's hot and what's not. Check out the items that are selling the most and it will give you an idea of what you want your product to be.

The most important rule to working at home is to be professional.People tend to think that because they're at home, they don't need to be structured. Get dressed and go to your workspace—just as you would if you worked outside the home.Set aside work hours, a lunch time and even coffee breaks—and stick to that schedule.Don't make a habit of doing non-work-related tasks, such as housework, during work hours.

Well I do think that a lot of people fall for these get rich quick things. They try it and spend money on these things. Then they find out that it doesn't work and get frustrated. I think if people really want to work from home they have to work hard in order to make it work for them. You have to set a goal and try to reach it. I mean it is not like you get a pay check from a company in the end of the week or month. You have to work for every dollar you make. it doesn't come for free and some people do not want to spend the time to do this. I think some people think they can just pay someone and get everything on a plate done for them. That doesn't work and I think people have to realize this. Once you get started don't assume you will get a huge payout right away, it takes time. And you just get out what you put in.
