Sri lankan food?

What exactly is Sri Lankan food? I've never really tried it but I want to. I imagine that it's close to Indian food since its right below India, but I've never really got the chance to taste Sri Lankan food. So if anyone's tried it, what's it like? Is it really similar to Indian food? Anything you could recommend?
