Most secure os?

This is more of an opinionated thread more than anything else. The main question being : What is the most secure OS? Well I'd like to think it is Linux since everyone is saying Linux is really stable and can't have spyware and stuff like that. But I've recently heard that the MAC is pretty stable to. So what do you think is the most secure OS? I doubt it's windows..

I think according to me if you want all the benefits like usability and graphical interface and ease of use and navigation , i will go for Windows XP as the most secure one , the thing is that you can enhance the security with good firewalls and antivirus solutions and it serves better . Although the fact is that there are lesser attacks on linux and unix based PCs just because windows is the most used platform and attackers make attcks targeted at the most used platform only .

Yeah you can enhance the security in Windows XP, but you just have to have an advanced knowledge with computers and programs. Windows XP is certainly better than the other ones, but it is hard to keep secure. In the other OS, it isn’t has hard to keep secure but it isn’t as great to use.

As far as I know, the kernel used by Mac OS is based on BSD which is Unix, also Linux is based on a Unix System. The only difference for the 2 OS is the usability. Mac OS focuses on Desktop Applications and Linux is more of a Server Type System.
