The world's fastest car
The fastest production car in the world comes from the italian car maker, Bugatti. It has a top speed of 253mph, a 0-60mph time of 2.5 seconds, 1001bhp , 922 lb feet of torque ,and a price tag of over £1 Million. It is on a limited run, chiefly because it costs Volkswagen (the owners of Bugatti) around £5 Million to make, but, of course, they couldn't sell them for that much money, for obvious reasons. So Volkswagen must have produced this car purely for the achievement of it. The record was previously held by the McLaren F1, but to put it into perspective how fast the Veyron is, let me tell you a little piece of information. Apparently, in a straight-line drag race if you took a McLaren F1 to 120 mph then let a Bugatti Veyron set off, the Veyron would still beat the McLaren to 200mph. At top speed you would be doing 2.1 miles to the Gallon. At top speed you would be covering over 300 feet a second, thats 1 mile in just 14 seconds. I think this car is simply the most amazing feat of engineering ever.
