People injured over xbox 3

Heard on the news this morning Walmart in Milwaukee Wisconsin, had received 3-- xbox 3s.

Store manager could not believe the turn out had over a 100 people wanting them.

He tells them to run to the wall and first 3 that sit down against the wall will get an xbox...now mind you 3 xboxes for 100 people.

Well 3 people were knocked down and severely injured during the race for the wall...hmmm worth it or what ...

Wonder sue time or what ??????????

XBOX 3? Either you mean Xbox 360, or PS 3. I'm guessing PS3 because that just came out last night. The Xbox 360 came out months ago so I couldn't see why people would be fighting over it now. But yeah, that is insane. At a local best buy two people got in a fist fight over a PS3. It's just a freaking game system!

sorry oh might of been the ps3. but yes silly of people to do that at least nintendo come out with theirs and claim not as good in graphics as the rest but then they made sure they had enough for back up supply.

Actually over the country there was 9 cities reported of sever injuries of people trying to get the new ps system.. Yes agree nuts and should not be allowed to do that type of behavior. You think the company would produce enough so people are not hurting each other to get one.

And to add insult to injury, Sony apparently is losing money over each PS3 it sells. Apparently, it takes $800 to make one so they are losing $200 for every premium system they sell.

Yeah, I also heard that someone pulled a gun over a PS3. Crazy. But don't let the fact of all that loss fool you. Sony makes STRAIGHT profit for each game to sell. And the games are much much more expensive than they used to be. So if you think about it, an average ps3 user will have about 4 or so games. So 4*70 is $280 right there. So they can easily recover for the lost profit. If someone figures out a way to mod ps3s, they're really screwed.

I think Sony is making the PS3 and if they are losing money I am sure they are making it up in the games that they sell for it.

As astros99 pointed out the cost of the games and the profit they make sure makes up for it.

If you look really into most of the major companies they do this for a purpose. They will make a great product and sell just below cost due the fact that the product will take another product to use and so they will make up the difference in the other product. And too that is why they only make so many of the product for the demand then raise the prices once the product is really in demand.

But, if some person can figure out how to mod them, and they start a modding service or something like that, then they are guaranteed to make big money. I know for a fact that most of the users for the consoles aren't happy with the prices for these games, so if someone was to mod them, they would make tons of money.

i think peachey got it right, these companies are not stupid, if you already have a PS2, why would you need a PS3?

coz only PS3 can play those games that others claimed as the best and so and so,

now, you're gonna have to either not play the game, or what the heck, ps3 is not too expensive, let's just get it,

see? that's how the market goes round too :)

Well, they have their gimmes. The graphics are better, the games are better. All they're doing is upgrading everything, then charging you more so they can rake in the money. As long as they're making money, they will be happy. I suppose it's all a big waste of money. But for kids, it isn't.

Kids he he I have to say that I know more adults that play those games. In fact my son that is 27 just got a ps3. He found one and bought it.
The only thing now is he is not liking the games that are out and having a hard time finding games. And the ones he does are over 60 bucks each.

Now thou they are getting big money for this system and I am sure they are making a penny off this one.

I know plenty of adults that are playing it to. But I must agree, the games are very over priced. I hear that the reason they are doing this is because they aren't making profit off selling the consoles. So, if one figures out how to mod the system, they never have to buy another game again, and that would save them alot of money. Modding is very hard, and also illegal.

You are right about the over price but one good thing you can play your ps2 games in the 3 which would be a great Idea till the prices on the games come down to normal..

Normal to me would be less then 5 bucks for a game...if you know anything about making them ...meaning the cd you buy that is all copy to the disk not like they make a program for each one. Think about it the cost into a disk to copy???

Recently, ESPN lowered the cost of all its games to $20. Now I’m pretty sure on the XBOX 360 and PS3 it won’t be $20. But the true cost of making a game is very low. All they have to do is pay the programmers. After that, they are making BIG profit on everything. So, if Sony is losing that much money, they are making good profit off their games.
