Do you have the superhero mentality?

Refrain from trying to be or doing what other people want you to become or do. Listen to the opinion of others but you have to filter what they say. Take note! Do not let others rule your life.

If you are a breadwinner in the family, the financial burden lies on your shoulders. No matter how you wish to extend the number of hours for a day, you really cannot. Of course, you can never be a superhero (or superhuman) who can do what other people want you to do. You cannot transform yourself to a CEO if you only deserved a clerk position, worse you know nothing. You have to follow always what your heart desires you to do; yet you still have to be open for constructive criticisms – your growth, as a person does not lie alone in your hands. The people around you, who are shaping you to become better person, contribute a fraction of your growth.

Eliminate the superhero mentality – you are obscured by time and space, besides you cannot entirely become what other people want you to become. You do not have to abuse yourself from too much work because of your hope to provide the luxuries, which your family deserves. Take note! You only have single lifetime, you cannot be indomitable because you have your limitations as a human being.

Also known as guided imagery, you're the director of your dream. Think of a peaceful, beautiful setting. Imagine yourself there. Once you've pictured yourself in your safe and beautiful place — maybe the beach, your patio or the top of a mountain on a warm, sunny day — you stay with your vision for several minutes, until you feel your mind and body relax. You can practice visualization at home or in your office, with or without an audio or video tape to guide you.
