Screen veteran Denzel Washington has spoken out of the secrets of the Oscar, claiming actors are often given an Academy Award out of duty rather than a winning performance.
Stop the presses on this one! I don't think this is really a secret, since it's pretty obvious some years that the people are winning Oscars for past movies and not this one. It might be a little surprising that someone like Denzel might actually say it out loud.
