Can some one please tell me when does a friendly rivalry turn into enmity...? because I know of people who claim to be friends but are so very over-competitive you would think they actually hated each other.
I don't think I've ever had friends like that. My father did have a relationship with his friend that sounds similar to what you are talking about. He and his friend were always trying to outdo each other. If his friend built a big new house he'd politely rub it in my dad's face and so on.
