Managing job hoppers....

Job hopping.... a common problem in the corporate arena and it people are finding the options to restrict this casual attitude. It is observed that job hoppers not only hamper the business process but also hamper their own career. Consistency and familiarity with the business process for along duration are the primary requirements that one should follow.

As an employer, if you are facing the problem then first try to find out the reasons behind this problem. Some people say it is money (higher salary) that makes an employee shift from one job to another. But there are some other factors -
Work environment
Fun at work
Growth opportunities
which playes important role for a employee....

Hi Cris, I agree with your article, but to be very frank you have to face this problem in the industry. It is true that some employees are by nature job hoppers and create problem in the business process. But u have to implement some basic procedure to retain them in the organization.

According to the recent study in the corporate world it is observed that salary is not the only thing that allows an employee to shift from one job to another. Though salary is a major factor but some other factors are there which u have to find and maintain.

People who shifts from one organization to another and from one trade to another are actually ruin their own career. It may be so that they are not feeling comfortable with other facilities that you are providing or may be that their expectaions are too high...

Job hoppers are the ultimate losers. Employees now do not wish to employ a person if he is moving out of his present employment before completing his probation period. If this is strictly adhered to by the employers, it will discourage the job hoppers. Most job hoppers do this for higher pay until they realise one day the "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."
