Software that helps seniors improve cognitive capabilities
There's a software I heard that can improve cognitive capabilities.
Yeah my first response was the saem...software???
Well believe it or not, it really is a software.
I think it's cool, perhaps I should get it for my grandpa.
He's suffering from parkinson's...
Apparently, (something I learnt form the Internet), a new computer program is helping to combat the reduced cognitive functioning that affects mostly all aspects of daily living among seniors. This basically means making even a trip to the grocery store a major challenge now.
So, now there's MindFit, a program of computer exercises that boost short-term memory, attention, and perception.
It's an interactive software package that aims to delay cognitive decline in people suffering from cognitive diseases. Examples of such diseases include Alzheimer's or Parkinson's. The theory is that when the human brain is exercised, and properly stimulated, the neurons destroyed by various cognitive diseases can now be regenerated.
Well, I have yet to enquire more about this, but I thought I'd share it with you guys and see if anyone has tried it before perhaps?
Do let me know if you do, or simply share what you know that might be of help. Thanks.
