Bush vows america won’t back down in iraq
President George W. Bush has vowed not to give in to Iraqi insurgent, but promised to adjust his administration’s tactics in the country to changing circumstances. In his weekly radio address, Bush acknowledges that Ramadan has been “rough for both us troops and Iraqis. But he attributed the growing violence to more active operations by US troops as well as “a sophisticated propaganda strategy pursued by insurgents. “There is one thing we will not do: We will not pull our troops off the battle field before the mission is complete,” Bush said. He assured the United States was “contently adjusting its tactics in the face of arising difficulties. US President was scheduled to meet with top generals to discuss strategy for Iraq, but the white house denied the meeting was called in response to recent developments. We will continue to be flexible, and make every necessary change to prevail in this struggle,” Bush assured. He insisted terrorists knew they cannot defeat us in the battle, so they conduct high-profile attacks, hoping that the images of violence will demoralize our country and force us to retreat.” The terrorists are trying to divide America and break our will, and we must not allow them to succeed,” he said.
I would like to hear what our members think about the above from Uncle Bush?

I might be in the minority on this one, but I think Bush is right. We can't go charging in there, muck things up, and then leave. Rebuilding is a long process. It took a long time with Germany and Japan. They are both arguably much better off now than before we came in. Part of the reason we are having such a tough time in Iraq is because of all the political whining. Yes, it's expensive, yes, it's hard, but we are in it now, and we can't leave it unfinished.

It is so easy to order others to risk their lives, it’s another thing to put your own life at risk. What a wast of lives on both sides, all because Bush and the criminals that he has under him want to control what is not rightfully belong to him.... too bad he will not see a day in prison for his act.

I honestly think that Bush should just mind his own business as long as it isn't harming him. I mean we really shouldn't be in Iraq in the first place. He can go into Afghanistan because he wants to find Bin Laden, and that does affect him. But as long as Iraq isn't messing with us, we shouldn't mess with them. If the president in 2008 wants to withdraw everyone, then they are scewed. Bush made a horrible choice to start the whole Iraq thing..
