A child’s prayer
Let me not hear
The sounds of the machine guns
Or the explosion of bombs
Instead let me hear, chimes of silver bells that celebrate
The Dawn of Peace…
Let me not here
The eerie cries of
Wounded soldiers or the lament of the hungry
Instead let me here
The sounds of laughter far and wide
Let me not see
The virgin forests and the natural habitats being destroyed
Instead let me see the
Green canopies, luscious foliage all around
Let me not see
The water bodies getting dried or polluted
Instead let my eyes catch the glimpse of
Blue, crystal clear ponds, rivers, lakes
And cascading waterfalls
Allow me to live in a world
Where the deer and elephants roam in the jungles
Where the birds fly in the sky
Were the flowers bloom at the foothills
Above all where justice, unity, love and care rules…
