Open source software list

First of all Open source is an affordable pandan of commercialware (most software is commercial). Many of the programs are in prerelease phese phase but there are always an older stable version that works fine.

Everyone knows about:
- GIMP - GNU Image Manipulation Program (I think this was the abbreviation),
- Open Office - complete open source sollution for office
- Mozzila - You know this one
- Abiword - a complete text procesor such as Microsoft Word

But what happens when come to some specialized software. You'll have to search the net for hours to find something. And did you?
