Your favorite cultural event

hi everybody! :D

i'm usually very curious about how people of our big world keep on going in celebrating some traditions they received from all their grandfathers...
so, i was wondering if some of you would like to share his or her favorite tradition or cultural event with us...

i'd like you to tell me what it is all about and why it's your favorite tradition!!! :D

i'm algerian and my favorite tradition is the" mawled ennebaoui" which is the celebration of Mahommet's birth by making a big party, we always make a lot of noise and a lot of light too!!!
it's a great celebration and it's almost a great day for the kids!!! :D
