Get paid as a freelancer?

I'm new to all of this and would like to give it a shot. I don't quite understand the paid to post thing but see it quite alot on getafreelancer.com. Can anyone help me sort it all out? I kind of get the feeling it's just copying and pasting. Is there a way you are able to do it so quickly and efficiently. Please help me out. I would like to make extra money at night. Thank you!

I'm a free lancer. They offer a wide variety of jobs and it isn't that hard to find one that is right for you. For example, I've done many jobs with writing. All you do is write some articles, and you get paid. If your referring to forum posting as 'paid to post' then all you do is post on the forum and you get paid. Many times buyers will do that because they want to promote a new forum. But I don't think its really copy and pasting. Your supposed to make quality posts. Freelancing is an easy way to make money.

Yes, that is true. But the only problem is I have a part time job and I still have school to do. So, I like to make some money in my free time. Which is why I turned to free lancing because there are lots of easy jobs for money. When I can, I treasure life and enjoy!

You don't have to spent you entire free time in front of the computer in order to make some extra cash. I study in an university and still have plenty of free time. The freelancing provokes you to learning new stuff. The idea is very simple the more complicated job you finish the more money you get. I've always wanted to earn my own money while having fun and in my view freelancing is simply...genius!

I am a freelancer and I have free time and I take free time to work. Depending on what kind of work and how much you make.

I use this to make a living. I do not have a high pay out on bills and monthly things but I do it for income and does work for me. Some times it is hard and have to put in long hours but I make it a point to tell clients I do not work weekends this is my business and so if they expect me to work the weekend they better be in email reach in mins because then I expect them to be there for questions and answers.

But I have been luck and not have to do much weekend work. Also I use it for fun days and if I get behind great time to caught up with out getting bothered alot...

Depends on how you utilize your time... I learn long time ago ...this is my business not time to talk to friends on the msg so I have a msg name just for my business that way I am not bothered and now the friends have learned and if they do contact me they are really polite and asking if I have a couple of mins.

I believe the more money we arn, the more secure our life will be! :D
And, freelancing is fun. What i love so much about being a freelance is, i get to work within my own time. I don't have to wake early in the morning, get ready, and fight the morning traffic, just to go to work. Plus, i'm SO not a morning person. :D

However, being a freelancer encourages you to be more responsible. You are what you work for. If you don't work, you won't get paid. If you do your job properly, you might get more jobs offer lining up for you. You have control over what you want to do to. The best part is, you get to do what you like.

I agree with you that doing something you really enjoy doing is better for a job then to do some thing you really hate to do.

Being a freelancer give you the choice of having a lot of freedom in ones life and also you have make you pay what you really want to. If you need extra cash you can work harder and longer for a few days to make it. If you want to take an extra day off and have work caught up you can. You do not have to worry. You are you own boss.

I can say thou you have to have a good work habits to make sure you can do this. Other wise you can really make life worse if you do not make work for freelancing priority for work in your life

i agree with most of the things mentioned, especially the benefits of freelancing, it's just that, i don't think it's my cup of tea, not now anymore at least, coz i tried it, and it didn't work out too well, bad luck perhaps, kept meeting ppl who'd delay my pay, cut my pay due to "unforeseen ircumstances" half way thru the project, bla bla bla

sigh, in brief, it wasn't a steady income, and the work is no fun either, so, gave it up not too long ago,

maybe in the near future, who knows, hehe

OH I hear you humpty with all those things that happen.

Do a project for a person and they don't pay and gave the service they wanted done. That why it is important for a free lance to have some protection like gaf to have an escrow for the money to be held. I use it all the time. If the buyer is good then I might think about the next time going with out one. But have to be careful who and have to say where they are from some of them from different countries will do this to anyone.

Yeah I guess escrow is alright but the problem is I want the money to go to my bank account, or at least to my paypal, otherwise the money is no use for me. They also don't let you transfer your funds to paypal unless the minimum is $30. So lets say your freelancing at $100 a month or so but you get paid in increments of 20s. Then you have to wait until 40. They also charge a $1 fee so its smarter to wait until your at 100 and then transfer it. Then from PayPal I have to transfer it to my bank which will get annoying also.

I'm wondering about the moneybooker. Do they charge you less for the fee or it's just the same?

From my understanding they charge 75 cents if you want to want to WITHDRAW from your GAF account. But, if you want to DEPOSIT, then they charge 2%, which really isn't a good deal. I guess the more you want to deposit the more it charges. Which really isn't good, but compared to all of the other options its pretty good. PayPal charges $.30 fixed and then 2.4%. They have a wire bank transfer, which is good if your going to put ALOT of money in your bank account. Because it charges $5 if your in Sweden, and then $15 if your not.
