Get paid as a freelancer?

I'm new to all of this and would like to give it a shot. I don't quite understand the paid to post thing but see it quite alot on getafreelancer.com. Can anyone help me sort it all out? I kind of get the feeling it's just copying and pasting. Is there a way you are able to do it so quickly and efficiently. Please help me out. I would like to make extra money at night. Thank you!

mjkallie If a service buyer says "Paid to Post" it means he wants you to go to the forum or any given site and post certain messages. Some Service buyers will give you the message (if its ads) or if in forums you will have to do your postings as per guidelines given by the Service buyer. It is usually simple, straight forward work. If you have a good command of English language, then it’s easy. Please remember that you are the Service Provider and the person who is giving you that opportunity is the Service Buyer. I trust your question is now answered.

I agree with you. Its a bit time consuming, but there are people who don't do anything anyway.

Service providing jobs are really time consuming. Some people would get used to the kind of lifetyle a service provider is leading on.

You have your point freakyfreddie! At this new era of information technology almost all sorts of services are provided in just single click of your mouse or on certain web site. Sometimes, I would think that technology tolerates indolence to people. However, I am not against this advancement, I enjoyed the luxury.

hassein1 Your instructions is pretty good! In fact, I could add something. As service provider, one has to become compliant to the qualifications or criteria of a job which were set by the clients. Yet, I advice that every service provider should have a background check to his client. The provider should mandate the client to deposit the amount or fee on escrow or in the money account of the provider before starting up the project. I experience fraudsters for couple of time. So, for every service provider watch out!

Spread the Knowledge!

humpty, thank you for the compliments! I am finding this forum really great because of people like you who are making this forum site lively through active and two-way process of interaction.

It is so nice to hear unique views from the different users of this site, because from their own paradigm of thinking, our perception about getting paid as freelancers is being widened.

Freelancing is growing steadily as it offers a lot of advantages, out of which the best is that you are your own boss.

Others are that:
  • You can work from the comfort of your homes.
  • You can eat, sleep & work when you want.
  • It is good for women (esppecially married & mothers) who can look after their homes and work also.

However, there are certain things that you need to know:
  • You need to have the skills & to be able to convince the people to let you do their job, as neither of you know each other.
  • Moreover, payment terms and deadlines are different from the offline jobs where you get a fixed salary. Here, it is almost like daily wages.

There are a number of freelancing sites, am mentioning a few for your benefit (rest can be found on googling):
