Best spyware/virus removal?

Good Spyware/Virus and Firewall protection?
What are the best firewalls and spyware/virus protection available?

Right now for my firewall im using windows, and EZ firewall from etrust.

For spyware/virus protection i use EZ pestpatrol and EZ anti virus. I also have spybot. Any recommendations as to whether I'm fine or if i should get some other program?

Well I've used all kinds of antivirus/antispyware programs but I've liked best Panda Antivirus/Antispyware. As you see from its name it's two in one - protects you from viruses and malware. I prefer to have a single application that handles both rather than having two - either have to be updated regularly to ensure it's doing its job properly.

Hmm, I've never heard of Panda. Is that new? Alot of people have been telling me that this one program called 'Avast' is good. I've never really used it though. AVG is pretty good but the only problem I have with it is that I have to sit in front of my computer and click what to do to each virus, and I don't know how to fix that either.

I don't think it is new since I know it from long time - since I bought my PC nearly four years ago. I am surprised you didn't know it since all my friends recommend me to install either Panda or Kaspersky or Nod32. I hope you are familiar with the last two. Although I can't say I'm satisfied with Nod32...

Dang, surprisingly I'm not familiar with the last two. I guess I wasn't really into preventing spyware/adware before. Cause I used to not really care about if my computer got messed up or not since it was so horrible. But then I got a new one and it was infected pretty badly. Since then, I had to reinstall and since then I've been a spyware/adware/virus junkie so I guess I only recent sofware.

NOD32? Can you give some more details on that? I know I've heard it before, I might have possibly used it to. Don't really remember much. AVG is nice but the only problem I have with it is that when it detects a virus, it asks you what to do for each and every one. Even if it's not really a virus, so you have to sit infront of your computer telling AVG what to do with each one.

in terms of protection, which one would do a better job making my computer safer?

i appreciate the free and easy solution, just wondering if it's safe enough coz if they charge, i'm sure there are extra protections here n there right

Well, one of the most important things you can do is get yourself a firewall. The windows firewall is OK, but there are many better firewalls out there. That way, every time something wants access to the internet, it will ask you, and you can decide if you want to let that program have access to the internet or not.

Tell me moer about Spybuster. Is it free? If not, how much does this spyware product cost? Have you used it before? Is it good? Does it wipe out most of the spyware on the computer?
