Regarding service pack 2

Hey all, I had a little problem here.
I have installed SP2 from windows update site and then at last it asked me "Your computer is not restarted since the last update. Restar\t now to take effect."
I restarted and then it restarted.
After showing Windows is starting up
a blue screen is shown and the hard disk indicator remain blinking for about 1 and half hour.
since, it didn't show anything, i restarted it forecebly...
but again it was stuck at the same postion...

any help....

that's strange,
possibly a hard disk being corrupted???

i doubt it though, i think you should try resetting the bios, maybe that would help, hope you have a restore point in your previous windows before the SP2, th emoment you get into windows, restore it, it's safer, and if ya wanna have SP2, make sure you have original copies of your windows else downloading the SP2 form the website won't work properly if i'm not mistaken

best of luck!

Restoring would not work as the computer is not even starting in Safe mode!!!
Thus I have to again reinstall windows to contiue my job on computer.
SP2...... I think I made a mistake by choosing to install it... coz last time windows update was a failure when i tried to do that...

something must be missing

i'm under SP2 and things are running pretty ok, in fact, I'm experiencing better performance, but can't confirm it's the SP2 or other smaller hardwares I've upgraded as well, but generally, things are running pretty good
