Any suggestions for science fiction?

Im a great fan of science Fiction. This is the only Genre that leaves me with a happy smile as i goto sleep and wonder about space ships and galaxies.

But I can never get my hands on any good science fiction and I dont know whree to start.
I usualy pick up some book and then luckily find some good one.

Dune by Frank Herbert is one of my favorites.
Does anyone know any other good books in Science Fiction.

Anything by David Brin, but particularly his Uplift series (he has two of them). Isaac Asimov is classic, but can be a bit dry.
Piers Anthony writes some very readable sci-fi/fantasy stuff. Try Split Infinity to start.
And of course, Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game is fan-flipping-tastic! :!:

Sword and Sorcery, eh?

Have you read any of the Weis and Hickman(sister and brother team) Books??? There are more than 20 that cover several different groups of interlinking characters and events over 100s of years They wrote a couple of other series as well--all sci-fi.
Robert Jordan's "Wheel of the World" series is huge and up to book 12 books with each one being over 500 pages...

That is roughly 150,000 pages or so to read let me know when you're done.

Good Sci-fi books??

Sorry, I majored in English(obviously) I meant 70,000 The last few have not been as good as the first(as with many things in life) or maybe so much time and soooo many pages have passed that I simply want to think I would not have wasted my time reading a bad book with 100s of pages...

Here are the sci-fi authors that never disappoints me :

Isaac Asimov (robots, foundation)
P.K. Dick (read his short stories, wonderful)

Honestly these are the 2 majors sci fi writers to me, and i can promise you that you'll never get bored reading (and re-reading) them.
