Follow these easy tips
1.First find a reason. Motivation is an important factor which helps you keep up your resolution to lose weight and avoid the tendency of binge eating after a few days of low calories. Find a reason, like plan to reduce weight before attending a big wedding, or going for a beach holiday
2.Don’t keep thinking about dieting. Try to focus your mind on other thing, like listening to music or watching a movie when hungry. The more you think about dieting all the time, more difficult will it be for you to do it. Try to make a reduced diet as part of your life style. If it becomes part of your natural routine, you can tolerate it better.
3.Don’t ever take drastic steps like missing meals. Remember human body requires some amount of starch, proteins, minerals and vitamins. If you cut down on these essential items, deficiency symptoms might start showing. Whatever modifications you make in your diet, do it slowly. When the body gets used to one change, then think about the next one.
4. Good sleep is important as sleep deprivation activates the feeding centre of the brain. 6-8 hours of sleep suffices for a normal person

6.Take sufficient quantities of proteins. Food rich in proteins include lentils beans, soybean, milk, eggs, green leafy vegetables like spinach etc. Daily requirement of proteins is about 1 gram per kg body weight per day. Having a protein rich food in afternoon helps to get rid of mid afternoon or early evening hunger spells
Avoid food rich in fat and carbohydrates. Daily fat consumption should not be more than 5 grams per day
7.Chewing sugar free gum between meals also prevents hunger pangs.
Avoid drinking coffee, alcoholic and fizzy drinks. They all stimulate the feeding centre and depress the satiety centre. Overall result is increased hunger.
8.Drinking green tea and herbal based teas or tea with peppermint or fruit tea is also helpful in reducing weight.
9.Chewing raw celery not only burns up the calories, it also prevents hunger pangs.
10.Grapefruit juice is not only healthy for one’s body; it also is known to depress the feeding centre. Eating a raw grapefruit or drinking a glass of grapefruit juice before meals helps.
11.Skip dessert. Not only sweet food contain lot of calories they are also rich in fat and a poor source of proteins
Try different types of chocolates those which contain less calories. Try plain yoghurts. They contain fewer calories are good for health.
12.Maintain a food diary in which you list the daily intake of calories, fats and proteins and your weight. Positive result will boost up your morale and help you maintain your resolution to lose weight.
13.Avoid shopping empty stomach. It will increase your craving for rich calorie food especially when you see it stacked up in the store. Try shopping when you are not hungry or better still, do shopping online
14.Don’t get involved in strenuous exercises all at once. Star with lighter ones and gradually build upon. Jogging, swimming, Cycling, walking briskly, etc are good ones for the start. Doing house hold work like sweeping the floor, climbing the stairs several times, helps in burning calories. :P
