Snake as a delicacy

Did you know that in some cultures, 'snake' is a delicacy? Has anyone ever tried 'snake'? I haven't and wouldn't...

I never have, but I heard it's very sweet. In respect to each culture, i think we all have to deal with 'special' dishes, some people eat horses, some eat frogs, some eat dogs, some snakes, some other scorpions and fried worms.... the list could go on forever. Snake food as you said is a delicacy, therefore it is a very occasional dish and i do not see any reasons for not trying it once in your life. If there is one dish i am pretty sure i'll never try though, it is monkey brain. but this is a very very very rare dish anyway.

I have tried some very exotic foods such as beetle, ants, silk worms, cockcroaches, fox, lizards, iquanas, wild boar, eels, frogs, deer, shark, etc.

But the stuff i prob won't try is dog (cause i love dogs) and of course monkeys.

Snake, I think i haven't but would not mind trying.

Basically, the monkey would be under the table, the head skinned and opened to expose the brain, the table has a hole on it, to put the brains thru it...........if you're still reading this.........

depending on what you like, i think (If i remember correctly) they pour hot boiling oil onto the brains so as to cook it, and then you scoop it off with a spoon

think i got it right,
anyone knows better lol

gross huh

I have seen something about eating snkes on TV ! If I remember right, don't they have these little bones you have to watch out for ? As I saw it a woman ate it the first time and she put a piece in her mouth only to find out there are these bones. She was taking it back out to check for them. It was too funny....

I think I would try exotic food too, but I would never eat dogs or monkeys ! And I wouldn't be sure about snakeblood either !

Has anybody tried crocodile ?
