Zoo monkeys' great escape

A troop of black-capped squirrel monkeys escaped from London Zoo in Regent’s Park when they scaled trees in their enclosure and leapt over the perimeter into a nearby tall tree. It is the latest escapade by the 12 animals, previously known for developing a taste for stealing visitors’ mobile phones. The zoo said that a tree surgeon was cutting the overgrown trees and that the monkeys, who were being monitored, would be back when hungry.

Silly monkeys! I wonder what they do when they're out on the town. Take in a movie? A musical? Maybe they will visit some museums, or just try to get tourists to give them money and peanuts.

Haha, wow that's crazy. I'm surprised that the monkeys have the brain to escape successfully. It's like for a human to escape jail successfully, on the zoo probably has way less security. The phone thing REALLY surprised me though. I've never heard of monkeys stealing phones, so that's really interesting.

Why do you think that monkeys are not smart enough? Primates have almost the same brain power as we do. Let's remember that Bonobos and Chimpanzees are our closest relatives. There really isn't that much difference between the three species if you think about it.

I wonder if they have come back yet?
I don't think the media would give an update on that!

They have probably taken their stash of mobile phones and going to cash in at the porn shops ha-ha.

astros99 in some countries monkeys are trained for that sort of stuff. It is how the villagers make money, from the monkeys stealing from the tourists.
