Free phones have really gotten pretty common these days in the phone business. Everyone knows the catch too. You MUST sign up for a new contract. So you can't just go in and get a free phone straight up. It's still a good deal though. A while back I got 3 Nokia 6101 and a razr for $30 TOTAL! So that lasted me and my whole family.

too bad this deal is not available throughout the world,
especially in asia, phones cost way too much, no contract, cash n carry basis

Yeah, that's what I hear. I hear that you have to like get it prepaid so you pay some guy and he loads it up with minutes, and yall get charged by the minute. Over here, we just pay monthly and get a certain number of minutes. You can usually get about unlimited night and weekends and at least 300 anytime minutes for $30. It's a pretty good deal. As for not getting phones, I'm sorry about that. :(

there's an option, you can choose prepaid or post-paid, depending on ho you want it, usually, pre-paids are more popular among the younger generations, as they can control their money better that way,

oh yes, in asia, phones are expensive, and they don't come with a line plan, they are sold separately, and you can only switch providers by switching your line as well,

say you have 012-XXXXXXX and you want to have it switched to another provider, you most likely need to register 016-YYYYYYY

and this is regardless of what phone you buy, it's a separate thing here in asia

Hmm, so let me ask this. Let's say you buy a US phone from Ebay, and then you get the phone unlocked. Over here, we have different cell phone providers (ie cingular, tmobile, verizon) . But, when you get your phone unlocked you can get any provider you want then, and you don't have to change phones. So, if you were to buy an unlocked phone from the US, would you be able to use it in Asia?

Not only free cellphones , free all kind of electronic gadgets , especially ipods , nano , wiis , and xbox are so rave .My friend has just got a new xbox .
