Poem for a friend

God must have known there would be times
We'd need a word of cheer

Someone to praise a triumph
Or brush away a tear.

He must have known we'd need to share
The joy of "little things"

In order to appreciate
The happiness life brings.

I think he knew our troubled hearts
Would sometimes throb with pain

At trials and misfortunes
Or some goals we can't attain.

He knew we'd need the comfort
Of an understanding heart

To give us strength and courage
To make a fresh, new start.

He knew we'd need companionship
Unselfish...lasting...true,

And so God answered the heart's great need
With a Cherished Friend....like you.

Thank you and too bad people do not want those anymore or even send them to people. There is so many great insperational ones out there.

Now days with the internet we dont even get a card in the mail. Everyone is using email and ecards to do the work. Sad.

Well, its not that sad, imagine an e-card with full of graphics and as well as full with sound. and what cost it takes very minimal. With that cost and that many joy how can one be sad...
I would love to see an ecard sent to me. Here people still believe in cards through mails although it is changing quite hurrily.........

well, here in teh Philippines, i hardly see the mailman anymore..
i only get to see him when he brings the bills..
