Small problem of Yahoo msg

Hey, guys, I had a small problem in my yahoo messenger. I have tried to fix it by reinstalling it but it didn't fix.
I use my internet mostly in office. We use DHCP. Once I changed my IP address manualy and from then onwards I was having this problem.
I can not join any chat room now. On joining it says " You have been signed out because you have signed in on other computer or device."

Any suggestion!!!!

This is probably not the answer you are looking for but the only time I've seen that is when people use multiple computers like one and home and at work and use messenger and one computer logs the other out. Or someone else knows the password and logs onto your messeger from somewhere else.

Yeah, You may be true but if somebody knows my password and do log in on other computer then I may not log in again in my next attempt and why it happens only when I try to enter in chat room why not other times???

So your messenger stays loged in but logs out when you are just in a chatroom? That's really strange.

I would make sure you have the latest yahoo messenger and not a beta or test verison.

Make sure you are firewalled. With a hardware firewall such as on a router, and that your PC is not in the DMZ.

If you have windows make sure recent security updates and or service packs. If windows xp which service pack are you using 1a or 2?

Turn off windows firewall if you have windows xp and just use your hardware one.

If have MSN messenger and are not using it uninstall it. Same goes with other messengers that you are not using.

If you are using wireless networking that could be the issue.
