Final Potter book and 2 will die !

J.K.Rowling has revealed that in the 7th and final Harry Potter book 2 of the characters will be killed. But she didn't say who. Who do you think will it be ?

She said in a Interview on monday on Britains Channel 4: "The final chapter is hidden away, although it's now changed very slightly," "One character got a reprieve, but I have to say two die that I didn't intend to die."

She also explained how she unerstands the authors desire to kill off the main character in the end of a successful series. She said:

"I've never been tempted to kill him (Harry) off before the end of book seven, because I always planned seven books and that's where I want to go.

"I can completely understand, however, the mentality of an author who thinks 'Well, I'm going to kill them off because that means there can be no non-author-written sequels ... so it will end with me, and after I'm dead and gone they won't be able to bring back the character'."

She has wrote the first Harry Potter book as she was a unemployed single mom, and now she is one of the richest authors in history with a personal fortune estimated at more than $1 billion.

So what do you think ? I think she is right with killing of the main character, because I am sure that someone would try to bring him back at one point. So if she kills him, he is gone and people have to think of their own story instaed of continueing with hers.

Well it was not my idea to kill the main character off. She said it in a TV interview. J.K. Rowling said "I can understand the authors mentality who says they would kill a main character off in the final book so that nobody can pick up on the story after they wrote the last book" This also includes that nobody ever could pick up the main character after the author dies. This doesn't have to be in the near future this can be in a long long time.

She said in the interview that 2 characters will die for sure (since she already has the last chapter of the last book written and locked away) that she did not intend to let die in the end. So my question was only what people think, which 2 characters this will be in book #7 (the last one of the Harry Potter series).

Did I read your message right, that J.K. Rowling has thought of killing off Harry Potter? Hmm. In that case, if Harry is going to be killed off, then Voldemort should die too. If not Voldemort, then either Snape or Draco Malfoy.

Yes, you did read my message right. She said she has never been tempted to kill him off before the end of book seven. So I take that as she is thinking of killing him off in the end of book 7, but it also could be thats she is killing off 2 other characters.

Wow. That would be interesting. And sad. But if Harry is to die in the seventh book, it is only fair that Voldemort should die too. They are each others' nemesis, after all. Oh, well. I guess we'll find out soon enough, when book seven is released.
