Out of Practice a Hit!

I have to say that Henry Winkler has done a superb job with his new series Out of Practice.

Many times you find the aging stars in sitcoms (IE Carol Burnett in Mad About You) and they seem to be faking it so much that they appear to only be there because of their famous name.

This is not so with Out of Practice whose mix of physical and verbal comedy is top notch when compared to some of the other drivel that passes for TV these days.


If you have not caught this show I would suggest you do. The basic storyline revolves around an entire family of doctors. Henry Winkler being the father who left his wife of many years to continue an affair with his secretary (Jennifer TillY). The mother is a semi-neurotic doctor with less than pleasant thoughts about her ex husband. The oldest son is a womanizing plastic surgeon, the youngest son is the black sheep because he decided to drop out of medical school to become a couples therapist and the daughter is a lesbian ER doctor with extreme feelings about her overbearing mother. All in all it makes for great fun.

This show is pretty funny. I have come to like it and every single character makes a good impression and it all works out fine. They seem like a family. There is chemistry.
