Kitchen Nightmares - just awesome
Gordon Ramsey already did a few seasons about Kitchen Nightmares. It is not like Hells Kitchen, because in Kitchen Nightmares he actually goes and helps people.
Restaurants that don't go well or have a problem call Grodon to have him help them. He goes and checks out the kitchen, how they work and what is going wrong. The first day he arrives he does some test eating, to see how long it takes for them to serve the food and how the service is in general. Than he talks to the owner telling them what he thinks goes wrong. The next day he start with the chef and the staff. A lot of time he tells them that the food is not good enough because they just used frozen stuff or already make things they just warm up, so he does some cooking training with them. He also helps the owner to make some changes, like do not let the staff drink at the Restaurant bar, or be more demanding, show them you are the boss. Some of the times the staff takes the boss not serious at all and makes jokes and does what they want. So after he is done with his work he leaves and comes back after a few weeks to see how it is going. Normally the owners were not maing any money with their Restaurant instead they were losing money everyday. So when he comes back he does some test eating again and asks the owner how everything is going. They always have said that it changed a lot or they have hired a different chef to work for them. A lot of owner gave up their restaurant as well because they didn't want it to be that stressful, they rather thought of it as a lounge where they can meet with friends and beside that make some money.
I just love the show. Sometimes it is really great to see how people try to manage a restaurant or how chefs are not able to cook right.
