I love this show. I have already seen Gordon Ramsey british Hells Kitchen (which just lastest for 1 season because the english people like him better when he is nice) and also watched the complete first US season and now the first episodes of the new season ! I just love it, he can be sooooo evil. But with most of the things he is right.

Have you seen the show yet ? Do you like it ? Who do you think will win ?

Michael the winner from the first season was promissed a restaurant, instead Gordon offered a trainee job in his Restaurant in England. Michael went to England few a little bit and than returned because it wasn't really a job he got. He found out that the production company wasn't able to find a location for his Restaurant so that is why Gordon had to offer the position in his Restaurant. So in the end they gave him money (way less than the Restaurant would have been worth) and some kitchen supplies. Isn't that awesome ! You win a TV show and don't even get what you won ? Well now is opening a Restaurant in Vegas on his own with his wife !

I like all the shows from Gordon. My favourite though is still Hells Kitchen. But Kitchen Nightmares are awesome too.

I have tried to get his books, but they are way too expensive !

I love the show! I seen all of the frist in the US and now watching the second one. You are right. He is right and I personally can not belive some of the people on there that are trying to get to the top for a restraunt. Please if some of them did win, I and hope people that know good food would not even thing about going there.

Peachey you are right, with some of the people there it is unbelievable that they even get the chance to be there. Some of them seem to have never worked in a professional kitchen. They run around like a chicken that just got the head cut off. I have just read from somebody from the first season that they just get 3 hours of sleep every day ! So that could be a reason they act how they do. When people don't get enough sleep they do stupid things or hurt themselfs. But until now I haven't even seen any skills from them.

Can't wait for the next episode !

oh boy you see last night the two shows on hells kitchen wahoooo.
Thank goodness they got rid of Tom?? I think that is who it was.
But I can see that at least Sara might make it unless they catch her with being a monster in that lol

They were good shows and cant wait till next week.

The show last night was awesome, but every single episodes is that. I think it was good that Tom got kicked out, but I seriously hope Sara is not going to win. She is a b**** and doesn't deserve the million $ restaurant. She is playing dirty and should get kicked out. I think somebody should win that plays fair and has talent. Sara is sabotaging the others in any way she can. Virginia asked her how long and Sara said she is ready just waiting for Virginia. Than she said she as Virginia asked for the things that she never started them ! So Virginia got blamed for it and got called a liar ! I just hope she has to go soon. She can just go back to managing her Deli ! I truely wouldn't work for her after seeing the show. She must be a horrible person to work for, if she is this sabotaging, how is she dealing with her employees ?

OH I agree 100% with you on all that! Have to wait next week and see what happens. I seen in previews some got kick out right in the kitchen. MMMM wonder who that was. Hope not Virgina.

I've only caught brief snippets of this show so maybe I'm way off...but I really don't like it too much. It seems so phony and scripted. Too melodramatic to seem like reality. Am I wrong? What's so great about the show?

Well I think the show is just as scripted as every other show if it is reality show or not. What I like about the show is to see what people would go through just to win a restaurant or to be the exectutive chef in a million $ restaurant ! They just get 3 hours sleep a night and have to clean the kitchen after service themself. It is just fun to watch ! I guess the only thing which is real is Gordon Ramsey screaming around cause this is how he treats his real life employees in his restaurant in England !

Well, most of the time I think the guests they show seem to never went fine dining before. But I also think that the food they serve is not bad. Gordon Ramsey would never send something out that is not good or up to his standards. The Chefs that are in the show do not produce bad food, they just have get better and up to his standards. The people that actually get food served they do like the food. Have you ever seen the show ?

On his other show he has amateurs cooking in his kitchen, and also even there he makes sure the food that goes out is good. And if the people don't like it, then they don't have to pay. He is known to be the #1 chef in all UK and Scotland for the last 10 years, so I don't feel sorry for the people that have to eat the food, I think for them it is a honor to get food out of the kitchen from a #1 Chef !

Right now in the UK he is asking everybody to send in bad cookbooks written by famous chefs. He will collect them and get it of them ! I guess he is going to burn them ! I cna not wait to see that !

Yes I have watch his other show and know he is a great chef. I would eat the food that they put out there. Even thou they are cooking most of it I am sure some is premade due to the fact the show is only an hour long.

If you have every worked with a chef a good one you will know most of them are not like that, but they are very particluar with the food that goes out. They may not scream and yell like he does but they sure will let you know when it is not right.

I have a brother that is a chef and he will sure tell his help when things are not right. He can get loud but not nasty. But when you work with the best like Ramsy is and when you are on a show like that and suppose to be a chef or want to be like him ...I guess it is good to get the good from the bad.

Cooking for people like that is an art not throw the food one dinner is waiting.
and like some of us have said before, some of the people on there can not boil water with out burning it.

Well because they don't have much time when the restaurant is open, they prepare the food in the morning before the service. They did show it in the show as well. He makes them prepare meat and fish and everything they need. Sometimes he does challenges with who can cut the meat better and doesn't waste as much.

All the food that gets served in his restaurant is freshly made (prepared before service) and nothing gets bought already made or prepared. He makes everything from scratch and fresh. He is known for that in England. I do think he is also practicing this in Hells Kitchen.

I know the language in a professional kitchen is rough, but Gordon Ramsey is one of the rudes and loudest ones.

The show with him rude and yelling reminds me another show I love.
American Chopper..love that show...dad and son is always yelling at each other and carring on. Maybe that is just some of us that enjoy watching that. I personally am not like that but think it is rather funny.

Well the next to go was Mirabel, Sara is still in the show beeing the snake she is. I just can not believe he still lets her stay. But I do think if she keeps it up next show she will be the next one to go. It was the first time though that I saw somebody putting a strawberry in a glass of champagne. I knew thoose go together, but not strawberry in the champagne, oh well. Also at the taste test as she said as child she ate dirt and so she would be very good at it, my thought was at what tasting dirt ? She is just weird, and hopefully leaving next week. I was very impressed with the blue team beeing able to finish service plus unloading the truck during service ! Wow !
